Tom Venable

Tom Venable

My purpose in life has always to been to challenge the status quo; resist the “we have always done it this way” mentality; find better ways to get stuff done; and be a change agent to move individuals, teams and organizations to a better position.” A serial software startup guy and market disruptor, Tom spent the 90’s helping bringing office automation software to the corporate world and making the typewriter obsolete. The 00’s saw him help usher in the era of ecommerce and put the floppy disk on the extinct list. When not disrupting entire markets, he can be found on the water, the golf course, the snow or the deck at Lord Fletcher’s on Lake Minnetonka.

Jake Foster

Jake Foster is the current City Administrator of Watertown, MN.  Prior to Watertown, Jake worked for the cities of Chanhassen, Lake Elmo, and Fridley in various capacities.  He attended St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN for his undergraduate studies and received a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Jake was born and raised in Minnesota, and still lives in the West Metro with his wife, two young children, and Boston Terrier.  In his free time, Jake likes to spend as much time outdoors with his family; especially at his mother-in-law’s cabin in Ottertail County.
